Progress Slow but Promising on Nanog

Stem cells could be created on command to fight aging.

The protein Nanog acts in embryonic stem cells—and in the early embryo—to maintain pluripotent cells. Now researchers say the pluripotent cells are closer to being produced from adult cells via Nanog.

This opens up a whole new world for anti-aging via the reprogramming of cells. It heralds a new biomedical research focusing on stem cell research.

Progress is slow, but promising.
