Ever since that “talent” Heidi Montag underwent ten plastic surgeries in one day, people have been talking about the rampant cellulite on the back of her thighs. Many question whether or not the liposuction she underwent caused the cellulite.
The answer to that would be: no, but don’t jump for joy just yet.
Lipo does allow the depressions and irregularities of the skin to appear more prominent. But lipo’s not causing cellulite. Rather, sucking all the fat out of the thighs makes the cellulite already there more noticeable. And as cellulite occurs in the superficial layer of the skin, lipo won’t make those depressions and irregularities better because it doesn’t reach there.
Cellulite seems to be caused by a combination of genetics, hormones, and losing elasticity in the skin. It occurs in skinny, heavy, and all women in between to varying degrees.
Lipo doesn’t cause it, or make it better.
