People continually think that combining sunscreens will increase their protection (it doesn’t), or they they think make-up with sunscreen adds extra protection over the sunscreen already on their faces (doesn’t work, either.)

And the dry-down time causes issues, too. For one thing, there no consensus among professionals about the time required.

Most experts agree that sunscreen must set properly on the skin, or dry. Otherwise, it can be removed by rubbing or other things, like water.

Gel and spray formulations take less time to dry. Cream or lotion formulations take longer.

Wait until the application no longer feels wet, and you should be good to go.
