According to University of Manchester researchers, their new study shows that fish oil is a wonderful way to boost the skin’s immunity against sun damage. Lead study author Lesley Rhodes says, “Although the changes we found when someone took the oil were small, they suggest that a continuous low level of chemoprevention from taking omega-3 could reduce the risk of skin cancer over an individual’s lifetime.”
However, do not make the mistake of thinking you can bask in the sun unprotected, then cover your recklessness with fish oil supplements. It doesn’t work that way, so all races and types of people should be wearing sunscreen to protect themselves from the sun, as well as wearing hats and clothes that help protect their skin.
