Prostate cancer seems to strike a large number of men with age. But now, a study shows that higher flavonoid consumption reduces the risk of aggressive prostate cancer.
Researchers from the University of South Carolina in Columbia—and their colleagues— used data from 920 African-American (AA) and 977 European-American (EA) newly-diagnosed prostate cancer patients for analysis.
Aggressive prostate cancer underwent a 25% reduction rate with higher flavonoid after adjusting for age, education, race, screening rates, and smoking.
