Perlane In Action

Acne Scars And Chemical PeelingPerlane is a dermal filler approved for use by the FDA in 2007. Similarly to Restylane, Perlane is used by Beverly Hills dermatologists as one aspect of facial rejuvenation. Injectable Perlane is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure used to fill deeper wrinkles and folds on the face. Perlane is used in much the same way as is Restylane. However, Perlane is usually applied more deeply in order to treat deeper wrinkles and folds, and for volume repletion.

Pitted and depressed acne scars are tough to treat. Deep resurfacing often times may not be deep enough to get results, however, Perlane is another option to help treat acne scars.  This is due to the very large particles in Perlane which are injected deeper into the dermis than other fillers, making this a good choice to raise isolated, depressed acne scars. With pits, what looks tethered down into the skin can first be released with subcision (a minor procedure that uses a needle or very fine scalpel to release the fibers tethering the skin) and then filled at the same time with Perlane. Results of this last eight to twelve months.
