A Researcher’s Perspective: Cancer and Calorie Restriction

From the point of view of a cancer researcher, eating less plays a key role in preventing the development of cancer. Through the use of animal models, it seems obvious that calorie restriction not only lengthens the life span, but it reduces the occurrence of many diseases that develop with age.

As Americans get fatter, some of these diseases have begun to develop more often in the younger population. It’s a given with weight gain, according to some.
