This weekend is Fundación Saldarriaga Concha’s annual conference in Colombia, which focuses on aging and demographics. This is a concerted gathering to change aging around the world, with many professionals participating.

Dr. Bill Thomas, an expert on the elderly and geriatric medicine, will attend. Dr. Thomas is the founder of the Eden Alternative and Green House Project, as well as a writer and musician.

Colombia’s First Lady Maria Clemencia de Santos and its Health Minister, Carlos Ignacio Cuervo Valencia, will make an appearance to promote the vitality of the elderly and discuss improvements in how the world ages.

Colombia commands the world’s largest projected elderly population by 2020, followed by the United States.
