According to the Dermatology Times, among the most exciting new cosmetic injectable products coming over the next five years or so will most likely be injectable fat treatments. These new injectables will represent a true “paradigm shift”, according to Adam M. Rotunda, M.D.

These treatments will allow doctors to reduce facial fat deposits via injections. Examples of such deposits are excess submental fat and jowl fat. The treatments would represent a giant leap ahead, and they might not be very far off – two of them are already undergoing clinical trials.
