What is Your Anti-Wrinkle Plan?

As we age, wrinkles appear in a number of places including the corner of the eyes, the corners of the mouth, and the forehead. It is a hugely distressing for women, and the earliest signs of superficial wrinkles set off alarm bells. Taking care of your skin should be a daily routine, and by developing a plan and finding the products that work for you, your skin can retain that youthful appearance well into your 40’s and beyond.

To minimize the effects of aging, invest in a good sunscreen and wear it on a daily basis. Baking in the sun is a thing of the past, or something that tacky reality show stars do. No one wants to look like that. Keep the skin youthful and your appearance tasteful by using sunscreen under make-up on the face, on the chest, on the hands, and any other exposed skin area, really.

An important nighttime facial moisturizer is essential. Moisturizers that contain retional are among the most effective, as they have been shown in studies to reduce fine line and wrinkles. A moisturizer will also reduce redness and dry skin plus keep the skin looking hydrated, all of which result in a more youthful appearance.

Invest in a good eye cream as well. They skins of the eyes is especially thin and sensitive, so requires a special moisturizer. Never tug or pull at the eyes, either. The skin is too fragile and easily damaged. Apply and rub into the eye area lightly with fingertips.

Smoking is terrible for the skin. It dehydrates the skin and causes it to thicken in some areas, which is an instant ager. It always changes the color of the skin, resulting in a gray or yellow sheen. Lips and mouth wrinkles are abundant in smokers, and hard to hide.

Avoid excessive alcohol use – it results in the same appearance as smokers: run-down and dried out. While the occasional overboard night is to be expected, don’t make it a habit or your skin will read like a road map of all those debauched nights.

Exercise and eating well does wonders for your overall look. Though it is not easy to improve skin from the inside out, being healthy always looks more vibrant and engaging.
